Fortunately, that doesn’t mean death is about to kick in your door. It just means I’ve been busy in the lab working on something old and something new.
REVO & What’s Next
After the launch of the first commercial game, it feels weird to try to figure out what comes next. Obviously, the second commercial game, but I don’t plan to make a sequel to REVO, at least not immediately, and the possibilities are too endless.
That said, I’m also still trying to squeeze into REVO some additional value in the form of updates with new features. I want to give you more ways to play. There are some missing features to add, too, like remappable controls. All of this is on the way, but things have been slow going.
On the positive side, creative energy is at work, but it’s also scattered across several types of endeavors both within the game studio and outside it. The routine of family life constantly evolves and my creative ambition never seems to wane, so I’m over here trying, failing, trying again, and starting to get my legs under me once again.
So back to video games, REVO is likely to get an update in a week or two and plans will be well underway by then toward a big update to celebrate the anniversary of its release in August 2021. Meanwhile, I’m dabbling with new game ideas, as well.
