Cosmic Misfit Studio is alive and well
Outwardly, things have been quiet for months now. The typical monthly newsletter hasn’t even gone out since August! Rarely has this happened over the years, but life has a way of taking over.
Fortunately, while personal life has absorbed a majority of attention since the REVO launch anniversary and soundtrack release, activity has picked back up, so news will be expected to pick back up, too.
Future Games
Officially the next game is yet unknown and there is nothing to announce, however, you can expect more playable prototypes in the coming months and several new game ideas have already been prototyped on and off all year long.
For example, a stealthy, high speed, dark fantasy themed experiment nicknamed Crystal Runner is available for you to download and race around in. You can collect crystals, drive fast and furious, and play cat and mouse with a giant death ray.
For an even more fleshed out and polished gaming experience, a prototype that has you explore an alien ocean full of puzzling artifacts and nicknamed Exo Diver is also available for free play. It features a mysterious mission, sandbox like interactions, and a modest ending.
REVO Update
REVO has also been quiet since the anniversary, but you can expect news right around the corner. In fact, new equipment has arrived at the studio which means cool new things to talk about including long planned features such as remappable controls and rumble support. More on this new equipment and further plans to be announced in 2023. Plenty of work is still going into this title.
Thank you for all the support!
Through the years of REVO’s development and since its release, many of you have kept up with the email newsletter, chatted in the Discord community space, liked and shared on social media, and shown lots of love on Steam and Itch.
Stay tuned as the future of Cosmic Misfit’s games unfold. Exciting new things are just on the event horizon and about to drop into your universe.
Here’s to an adventurous 2023!
